Her father is the alleged head of a drug cartel. Ironically it is this connection that lead to her being one of the youngest detective at the 7th. Angelo started as a patrol officer and her family connections allowed her to pass along tips to the narcotics detectives. The Detectives became to rely on her in four key cases and carried her along on a stakeout where a huge drug bust went down a day earlier than expected. Officer Angelo and the two Detectives she was with were fired upon while in their car with semi automatic weapons. Oddly though, while both Detectives received injuries, Officer Angelo was not harmed and managed to escape the car and subdue three gunmen. She was in a state of shock and doesn't remember the exact details of the incident. The Mayor's office and the surviving Detectives championed her, as she became a Detective. Yet she has always had "anger management issues" and in a few incidents has been known to violently assault a suspect and least three witnesses. Yet, no charges were ever filed against her for her actions. She is assigned to the 7th with the Detective she worked with on the Drug Bust Shooting (Drew Avon). |
